Results + Outcomes

Promise Neighborhoods help create vibrant, family-centric, economically strong communities. These programs foster an environment where residents can be their own agents of sustainable educational and economic change. By supporting the coordination of community, educational, and workforce services, these programs seek the permanent transformation of their communities.

Funding of the Promise Neighborhoods program uniquely empowers organizations to build partnerships and facilitate impactful collaborations. In a report by the Government Accountability Office, Promise Neighborhood grantees noted that their collaboration with service providers yielded deeper relationships with community partners, the ability to attract additional funding, and the breakdown of silos within their communities.

Individually, Promise Neighborhoods boast impressive results. Grantee data indicates that the program has led to leveraging resources and tracking performance within communities.
